- Welcome to Raspberry Pi Accounts (the “site”), the online Raspberry Pi identity platform hosted at my.raspberrypi.org
- Raspberry Pi Accounts is a platform for you to:
- manage your email subscriptions;
- leave us some feedback; and
- log in to websites provided by the Raspberry Pi Foundation

- Who we are and how to contact us
- We are Raspberry Pi Foundation and we provide access to the site.
- We are a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales with company number 06758215. Our registered address is 37 Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 1NT. We are a charity registered in England and Wales with registration number 1129409.
- Our group includes Raspberry Pi Educational Services Private Limited (a company incorporated in India to deliver educational services), Raspberry Pi Foundation North America Incorporated (a 501©(3) nonprofit), and Hello World Foundation (Irish registered charity 20812)(trading as CoderDojo Foundation). Code Club is a programme run by the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

- Your agreement to these terms
- By using the site you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, including the terms of the following policies:(together, the “Terms”)
- The Terms form a legal contract between you and us regarding your use of the site. If you do not agree to the Terms you may not use the site.
- Any new features or tools which are added to the current platform shall also be subject to the Terms.
- You can review the most current version of the Terms at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the site following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
- Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy, which identify how we use, collect, and store information we collect through the site.
- Setting up and maintaining your account
- The site is not available to (a) any users previously suspended or removed from the site by us or (b) any persons under the age of 13. By clicking the “I Agree” button or by otherwise using or registering an account on the site, you represent (i) that you have not been previously suspended or removed from the site by any part of the Raspberry Pi Foundation; (ii) that you are at least 13 years of age; and (iii) that your registration and your use of the site is in compliance with any and all applicable laws and regulations.
- As part of the registration process, you may be asked to provide certain personal information, such as your email address, gender, age, and country. Please see the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s Privacy Policy for further information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and your account secure. You are solely responsible for any use of your account, even if your account is used by another person. If any use of your account violates the Terms, your account may be suspended or deleted.
- If you have reason to believe that your account is no longer secure (for example, in the event of a loss, theft, or unauthorised disclosure of your password), promptly change your password. If you cannot access your account to change your password, notify us via our Contact Form.
- How you may use material on our site
- We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
- You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on our site. This does not apply to material on our site which is specifically identified as being made available under a Creative Commons or Open Source licence, in which case the terms of the applicable licence shall apply.
- You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. This does not apply to material on our site which is specifically identified as being made available under a Creative Commons or Open Source licence, in which case the terms of the applicable licence shall apply.
- Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on our site must always be acknowledged.
- You must not use any part of the content on our site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.
- If you print off, copy or download any part of our site in breach of these terms of use, your right to use our site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.
- You may use our marks in accordance with our Trademark Rules only, and by using any trademark owned by us, you are agreeing to comply with our Trademark Rules.
- Do not rely on information on this site
- The content on our site is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our site.
- Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.
- We are not responsible for websites we link to
- Where our site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them.
- We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.
- User-generated content is not approved by us
- The site may include information and materials uploaded by other users of the site, including forums. This information and these materials have not been verified or approved by us. The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.
- If you wish to complain about information and materials uploaded by other users please contact us via our Contact Form.
- Uploading content to our site
- Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload content to our site, or to make contact with other users of our site, you must comply with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
- You warrant that any such contribution does comply with those standards, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.
- Any content you upload to our site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You retain all of your ownership rights in your content, but you are required to grant us and other users of our site a limited licence to use, store and copy that content and to distribute and make it available to third parties. The rights you license to us are described in Rights you are giving us and other users to use material you upload below.
- We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
- We have the right to remove any posting you make on our site if, in our opinion, your post does not comply with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
- You are solely responsible for securing and backing up your content.
- Rights you are giving us and other users to use material you upload
- You (and other users) may:
- post and/or publish notes, questions, comments, ratings, reviews, images, videos and other audio-visual materials and communications (collectively, “User Postings”); and
- post, create, or modify computer code (including source code and object code) (“User Code”) (User Postings and User Code, collectively, “User Content”).
- License grant to other users
- User Postings: you agree to grant each user of the site a non-exclusive license to access and use your User Postings in any manner permitted or made available by Raspberry Pi Foundation on or through the site.
- User Code: you agree to grant to each user of the site a non-exclusive license to access, use, reproduce, and distribute your User Code in any manner permitted under, and in accordance with the terms of, the MIT open source license (currently available at: https://opensource.org/license/mit/).
- You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting, creating, or publishing them. You agree that:
- you are the creator and owner of or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to use and to authorise Raspberry Pi Foundation and other users to use and distribute your User Content as necessary to exercise the licenses granted by you in these Terms and in the manner contemplated by Raspberry Pi Foundation and these Terms;
- your User Content does not and will not:(a) infringe, violate, or misappropriate any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right or (b) slander, defame, libel, or invade the right of privacy, publicity or other property rights of any other person; and
- your User Content does not contain any viruses, adware, spyware, worms, or other malicious code.
- Access to Your User Content: The Raspberry Pi Foundation may permit users to share their User Content with a select group of other users, or make their User Content public for all (even non-site users) to view. You acknowledge and agree that, although the site may provide certain features intended to allow you to restrict some User Content you create from others, we cannot guarantee that such User Content will never be accessible by others. In the event of unauthorised access, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you but we shall not be liable for any loss with respect to any unauthorised access to User Content.
- When you use the site you will be exposed to User Content from a variety of sources, and we are not responsible for the accuracy, usefulness, or intellectual property rights of or relating to such User Content. You may be exposed to User Content that is inaccurate, offensive, indecent or objectionable, and you hereby waive, any legal or equitable rights or remedies you have or may have against us in this respect.
- We have a perpetual, world-wide, non-exclusive royalty free, transferable licence to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such material for any purpose (except where specifically identified as third party content). We also retain the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to our website constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy. We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the content or accuracy of any materials posted by you or any other user.
- We have the right to remove any material or posting you make on the site if, in our opinion, such material does not comply with applicable laws, these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

- You (and other users) may:
- We are not responsible for viruses and you must not introduce them
- We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.
- You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our site. You should use your own virus protection software.
- You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.
- Rules about linking to our site
- You may link to our home page or pages within the site, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.
- You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
- Our site must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of our site other than the home page.
- If we notify you that we do not wish you to link to the site then you will cease to do so immediately.
- The website in which you are linking must comply in all respects with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

- Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you
- We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Please note that we only provide our site for domestic and private use. You agree not to use our site for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
- If defective digital content that we have supplied, damages a device or digital content belonging to you and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. However, we will not be liable for damage that you could have avoided by following our advice to apply an update offered to you free of charge or for damage that was caused by you failing to correctly follow installation instructions or to have in place the minimum system requirements advised by us.
- Suspending or terminating your account
- The Raspberry Pi Foundation has the right at its sole discretion to suspend and/or delete your account if you do not comply with these Terms.
- If you want to delete your account, please use the online deletion facility.
- Governing law and jurisdiction
- In the event of any dispute between you and us concerning these Terms, the laws of England and Wales will apply. If you wish to take court proceedings against us you must do so within England and Wales. However, if you reside elsewhere in the United Kingdom, or in a British Overseas Territory or Crown Dependency, then you may also bring proceedings where you reside.
- General
- In the event of a conflict between a translation and the English version, the English version of these terms will prevail.
- No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or a regulator to be invalid or unenforceable the other provisions of the Terms will continue to apply.
- This document, together with the appendices listed below, constitutes the entire Terms and supersedes all previous agreements with the Raspberry Pi Foundation relating to the use of the site.
